Downtown Business District
The Downtown Business Committee meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room, 118 W Fifth Avenue, next to the Town Hall.
The members of this committee are active business owners and operators in the Downtown Business District. They represent the many merchants, retailers, service providers, and professional offices who serve the Town of Windermere and surrounding areas. The committee coordinates with the DRB and makes recommendations to the Town Council concerning issues affecting the local businesses. It is also provides a forum for each business to coordinate with fellow businesses, share ideas, combine efforts, and promote each other. And the Downtown Business Committee educates the local businesses on regulations and ordinances which are required in the heart of our historic Town among the lakes.

There will be a special Downtown Business Committee Meeting tonight at 6:00pm (April 27) at the Windermere Community Center (just behind the Town Hall) to finalize and go over all the plans and logistics for the Dine On Main Event this weekend.
We still REALLY need more participation and support from our local businesses, Windermere Residents, and any other surrounding area business owners or groups that would like to take part in this Fun and Fantastic Evening.

Also, on the agenda is the discussion for replacing the seat vacated by Dawn Orlando of Sweet Sweets. Unfortunately, she has relocated her business and is not able to continue forward on the Downtown Business Committee. We will really miss having her on the committee. We wish her the very best with her relocation.

The 3rd Annual Dine of Main Event is coming up on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Chris Sapp (chrissapp@cfl.rr.com) is heading up this event. The theme this year is countries. It is an Incredible Event and a ton of laughs and fun. Please email Chris for all the details and registration.
