Debris Pickup Update
Posted Date:

Debris Cleanup Update:

Waste Pro will be out today for regular solid waste pick up.  Please make sure items are distanced from limb debris.

Storm Debris:  We have 2 Crews working on Debris Cleanup in addition to Waste Pro.  Dobson’s will be clearing the residential roadways and hauling to our loading sites located at Fernwood and Windermere Recreation Center.  This expedites the process.  Please avoid these locations so we may accelerate the cleanup.  We expect the majority of the debris to be clear by Friday.  We are currently working on the best time to clear 6th Ave and Conroy Windermere to avoid major traffic delays.

Any debris that is dumped by a Tree Service or Contractor will be tagged and assessed to that property owner.  This debris should be hauled away by the hired firm.

Tree Permits:  Required for any tree removal of trees not impacted by the Storm.  All removal permits will resume on Monday.

Residents should not dump debris at the Towns designated sites.  Please contact Orange County for their locations.  We have FEMA regulators at these sites and we need to make sure all debris is from the Town and documented.

We have contracted with Raynor Shine to provide major hauling services from our loading centers and the trucks will be available to haul away from other locations where height clearance isn’t an issue.

Please try to keep the roadways and right of ways clear.  Cars parked or landscapers blocking debris will delay the hauling process.

We appreciate your continued patience at this time.  Staff is working as fast as we can to complete the debris pickup but please remember that this was a statewide storm event so the resources available are on high demand.  In addition, we are having to make sure we meet all FEMA guidelines to ensure reimbursement.
