The 9/11 Memorial and Garden sit at Town Square Park, located between Town Hall and the Franklin W. Chase Memorial Library. The centerpiece of the garden is a structural steel beam from the Twin Towers surrounded by glazed tiles from Boy Scouts which commemorate countries who lost innocent civilians in the attacks on 9/11/2001 on US soil. This was part of an Eagle Scout project by Jeffrey Edward Cox of Troop 6, under the oversight of Mayor Gary Bruhn, in 2009.

Also situated in the garden is a marble bench inscribed with words from President George W. Bush, “We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail!”
