Bessie St, East Blvd, 8th & 9th Aves. Construction Week of Dec. 8th – Dec. 12th
Crews will be marking and visually locating underground utilities, surveying and taking various items, installing silt fencing, removing some pine trees per plan, and taking delivery of some materials. Here’s what to expect from Monday (12/8) through Friday (12/12):
- Marking underground utilities, including hand digging to visually locate and determine the depth of various utilities.
- Install sediment/silt fencing.
- Remove row of pine trees along East Blvd near Bessie boat ramp.
- Taking delivery of some materials.

Crews will be installing stormwater drainage at the intersection of Butler Street and 6th Avenue. Here’s what to expect from Monday (12/8) through Friday (12/12):
- Storm Drainage installation at the intersection of Butler Street and 6th Ave.
This week, the Boat Ramp will be accessible from either 7th Ave or Butler, although 7th will be most dependable. There could be temporary closures on Butler Street.

The next 2 weeks will be very busy west of Pine Street. Crews will be installing lime rock for curbs, switching water meters to the new water main, and installing the concrete curbs on the north side of West 2nd Ave. Here’s what to expect from Monday (12/8) through Friday (12/12):
- Installation of lime rock in preparation of curbs west of Pine Street on the North side of W. 2nd Ave.
- Residents west of Pine Street will have their water service changed over to the new water line.
- Thursday (12/11) through Friday (12/12): Installation of new concrete curb on the north side of 2nd Ave.

The Humbug Holiday Lighting team, working closely with our incredible Public Works crew, has been making fantastic progress, and the results are already magical.
The trees are wrapped in warm, white, and vibrant blue lights, snowflakes sparkle overhead, and the entire area is transforming into a stunning winter wonderland. ❄️💙
We’re getting closer each day to our November 21st Light Up Windermere celebration, and we can’t wait for the community to see this beautiful display in person.

Public Notice – Utility Repair Work
The Town of Windermere would like to inform residents and visitors that a utility company will be performing necessary repairs to a damaged underground cable on 5th Ave beginning Thursday, November 20th.
There will be no road closures during this work; however, crews and equipment will be present in the area. Minor traffic interruptions may occur as work progresses.
Please use caution when travelling near the work zone and be mindful of workers, equipment, and any temporary signage.
The Town appreciates your patience and cooperation as these essential utility repairs are completed to ensure continued reliable service.
