🚧 Ward Trail Pedestrian Bridge Delivery & Installation Update 🚧

 An exciting milestone is approaching for the Ward Trail Project!

 📅 Weather and transportation conditions permitting, the new Ward Trail Pedestrian Bridge is expected to be delivered on or about Tuesday, June 16, 2026, with installation anticipated on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

 ⚠️ To safely install the bridge, the canal beneath the bridge will be temporarily closed to boat traffic for approximately 24 hours. While the closure is currently anticipated for June 17, boaters should be prepared for a temporary canal closure at some point during the week of June 15, as weather and transportation conditions may affect the schedule.

 🚚 Residents may also notice the oversized bridge being transported through Town before installation. This delivery marks a major step forward in completing this important community connection.

Classes began last week, but new participants are still welcome to join this Friday before enrollment closes for the summer session.

📅 Fridays through July 31
🕐 ASL 1 (Beginner): 1:00–2:00 p.m.
🕑 ASL 2 (Intermediate): 2:00–3:00 p.m.

⚠️ Important: After this Friday's class, groups will be closed to new participants to maintain continuity and support learning progression. If you miss this opportunity, you'll need to wait until our next ASL session begins this fall.

The pedestrian bridge for the SRTS Ward Trail project will be temporarily removed for replacement from approximately June 1 through August 3. During this time, the bridge will not be accessible.*

Travel Advisory: North–south access through this area, including crossing via Main Street, will not be available.

Please plan ahead:
• Use alternate routes north or south of the closure
• Allow extra travel time
• Follow designated detours and crossings

ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA: Chase Road Bridge Update!

Orange County is evaluating future replacement options for the Chase Road Bridge as part of a long-term infrastructure planning effort.

✅ The bridge remains open and safe for public use.
✅ No construction is currently scheduled.
✅ No traffic changes are associated with this planning phase.

The proposed concept includes a two-lane bridge with shoulders and sidewalks to enhance safety and pedestrian connectivity. Future phases, including construction, will proceed only if funding becomes available.
