Mayor Jim O’Brien proudly represented the Town of Windermere at today’s State of West Orange County luncheon, hosted by the West Orange Chamber of Commerce.
He joined fellow community mayors to discuss key issues, growth, and the future of our region. Events like these strengthen collaboration and ensure we’re working together to make West Orange County an even better place to live, to work, and to play!

🚧 Butler Stormwater Project Update 🚧
Over the next two weeks, construction will begin on swale and pond improvements at the Fernwood Boat Ramp and along Butler Street. The work will be performed by Valencia Construction, the Town’s selected contractor for this project.
• There will not be any road closures or impacts to driveways during this phase.
• The boat ramp will remain open and accessible throughout construction.
• Parking for those authorized to park at the boat ramp may be limited or impacted while work is underway.
We appreciate your patience as we complete these important stormwater improvements for our community.

🚧 FEMA Repaving Project – Monday, September 8th 🚧
The Town will be completing an important FEMA-funded repaving project at the intersection of E. 5th Avenue and Lake Street, in front of Lake Street Park. Here is what to expect:
Work will start and finish the same day (Monday, September 8th).
Middlesex, the Town’s contractor, will have flaggers on-site to assist with traffic.
Unless you need to travel through this area to access your residence, you are strongly encouraged to use an alternative route such as Magnolia Street, Ridgewood Drive, or 6th Avenue.
Please expect minor delays if you must travel through the area!
Note that the weather may affect this schedule.
