✨ Holiday Garland Installation Update! ✨
As promised, we’re keeping everyone updated as the holiday décor goes up around Town Square. This weekend, the Humbug Holiday Lighting team was busy installing the beautiful garland along the lamp posts — another step toward transforming the area for the season.
Our Public Works team is right alongside them, making sure every detail looks perfect for Light Up Windermere on November 21st.

West 2nd Avenue Construction Week of Nov. 17th – Nov. 21st.
Crews will install stormwater drainage and lime rock for curbs. Here’s what to expect from Monday, 11/17, through Friday, 11/21:
- Storm Drainage installation from 732 to 802 West 2nd Ave.
- Installation of lime rock in preparation of curbs west of Pine Street.
Temporary daytime closures will be in effect. Please allow extra travel time and drive safely.

Our holiday lighting partner, Humbug Holiday Lighting, is on-site this week, installing the beautiful lights that will transform Town Square for the season!
A huge shout-out to Travis from our Public Works team, who has been working side-by-side with the Humbug crew—reviewing trees, mapping out the branches, and helping guide placement to ensure the display is exactly what our residents love.
The Public Works team is working tirelessly to have everything ready just in time for Light Up Windermere on November 21st. 🎄💡

🌧️ Storm Update from the Town of Windermere 🌧️
Central Florida experienced an unprecedented storm event, resulting in significant rainfall and localized flooding throughout the area.
Our Public Works team is out in full force responding to intersections and roadways identified by the Windermere Police Department as impacted by flooding or washouts. Crews are prioritizing public safety, placing cones at hazardous locations, and beginning repair work on affected intersections and dirt roads as conditions allow.
We kindly ask for everyone’s patience and caution as we work diligently to restore safe travel throughout the Town. Please avoid flooded or barricaded areas and report any new hazards to Town Administration, Public Works, or the Police Department.
Stay safe, and thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we recover from this severe weather event.
